TIM CARPENTER
Tim Carpenter is the former head of the FBI's world-renowned Art Crime Team and was an investigator on the team himself before promoting to lead the program. A former police officer and military veteran, Mr. Carpenter enjoyed 33 years of government service, 18 of those years dedicated to working cultural property crime matters and educating partners across the globe on securing at-risk cultural heritage and protecting collectors from theft and fraud.

Securing Art Collections and Cultural Assets
Tim Carpenter and Catherine Foster, of Argus Cultural Property Consultants, will present key factors that Estate Managers should consider to secure their principal’s art collections and other cultural assets. These include collections management strategies, the importance of appraisals and insurance, and proper movement and storage of collections including importing/exporting. Tim and Catherine will cover aspects of physical security of objects and also securing your principal against fraud and other art market risks.
